Stomach-turning experience at Amin in the Slope

Kerry | Aug 13, 2002 07:20 PM

I had hopes that Amin would be mediocre. It turned out to be extraordinarily bad.

Mango lassi was sour as a pickle, while cucumber raita was as sugary as rice pudding. Mango chutney hadn't a hint of tasted like something you'd serve over pancakes.

Saag paneer was a puddle of green baby food almost devoid of chunks of cheese. Papadum were ordered but did not arrive (maybe I should be thankful). Also, there were about 10 waiters who didn't know what they were doing, so service was extremely slow even though the restaurant was only half full. On top of all this, Amin charges extra for rice, raita and chutney. I will never return.
