You are probably all watching the Top Chef finale, but on a commercial break I thought I'd throw this question out there, since I've got almost a whole Costco roast chicken in the fridge that I bought on Saturday, and really need to do something with it. Here's the problem -- I found it to be quite salty (which is why most of it is still left), and I'm guessing it's both been brined and basted/coated with some kind of flavorings. Can I make stock out of it? I may just give it a whirl anyhow, but wanted to see if anyone had done this before with good results.
