how much does your stock cook down?

I made alton brown's chicken stock yesterday. And i'm always amazed at how much liquid I start with (2 gallons or 32 cups) and how much I end up with (13 cups). Is that normal? It tastes and looks great....nice and jellied, and I added some water from the kettle to make sure everything remained covered during the 8 hours of simmering. just wondering how much your stock cooks down....
