St.Malo, the quality of French restaurants

Guts | Sep 25, 2002 12:46 PM

As part of the on-going debate about the quality of French restaurants, I'd like to reccomend a place in Cancale, especially autial, a unnassuming bistro on the sea front that lacks a) pretension b)surly French waiting staff (St. Malo is premier league) c) big, fat gastronomy awards, c)nasty French decor and d) crap food.

The service was easy, food: straightforward honest to goodness, the price: 11 euros for a three course lunch. Use eyes, ears and nose to avoid being disappointing.
