Tumbled acrosss a peanut soup recipe and charged ahead. A simple, clean recipe with no pepper or other "dark" components.
Was distressed to stir it up, at the finish with the peanut butter, and began to see dark flecks. This was distressing as I was using a wooden spatula.
Anyway, it DID turn out that the black non-stick coating WAS flaking off.
I assume that the coating is inert.
One) IS non-stick coating inert and not an issue if I had NOT thrown out the batch of soup?
Two) Is anyone else seeing this problem in this line of product?
The stockpot is in recycling, as I type.
