Steak 'N Shake Santa Monica, CA Concept Restaurant?

gr8pimpin | Nov 19, 201412:25 AM     9

I live in California by way of Florida and looked forward with anticipation to the opening of a Steak 'N Shake on the West Coast.

What were they thinking? It's completely different than any SnS anywhere in the country. Is it a new concept that they're trying out? Because it is so completely different than their brand.

I'll explain.

Steak 'N Shake by Biglari is the name on the storefront.

There is no table service. You order at a counter and get a GPS and short skirted Hooter-like B-list models bring you your order. They have house music blasting. The shakes are served in paper cups.

Here is the kicker. MENU has TWO BURGERS ONLY. A thin-pattied double and the Signature Steakburger. They have a patty melt and a hot dog. That's it for sandwiches.

No breakfast.

I've taken to calling them Fake 'N Shake and it seems that anyone familiar with the brand hates this place.

Are there any locations like this near you?
