I was craving steak tonight, didn't want to travel far and hadn't made reservations... A quick search on classic Chowhound yielded an enthusiastic post for "That Steak House" on Burbank blvd... So we tried it.
The restaurant is a modest establishment with upscale prices and a hokey name. We split a caprese salad - the mozarella came in cubes?! And the tomatoes weren't flavorful at all. We each had ribeyes which were fair (not the best but not horrible either and the vegetables (zuchinni, carrots etc. ) were previously frozen. I had a baked potato with no trimmings. I had to ask for sour cream. A glass of house Merlot, some Pellegrino, a chocolate cake and a coffee later, the bill was $110. We were in BURBANK for heaven's sake.! Save your deniero and pass on this place. The waiter/owner was very cordial but $110? Please... I should have stayed in Hollywood and supported the local economy here.
