Staying in 2 hotels in Tokyo - should I have them both work on reservations?

Hi!

Just getting ready to book accommodations for Tokyo in October (staying 8 nights) and we're splitting between to hotels (very likely The Prince Gallery x4 nights and the Mandarin Oriental x4 nights).

For those who have used hotel concierge to book reservations, can you answer the following:

1) Will the concierge only help with reservations during the time you're staying at their hotel, or are they willing to help for your entire trip?

2) Would you recommend have both concierge's working simultaneously on the same requests in case one has better luck than the other, or does that have the possibility of being too confusing?

3) Is it better to give very specific requests (ex. I want this restaurant on this particular night for dinner), or better to give a range (ex. willing to do dinner any one of these 3 nights, whatever is available)

Thanks for your help!
