STAUBITZ on Court Street carries a large selection of fresh game in season. They told me they have pheasant, venison, rabbit, and wild boar. Some need to be ordered 1 or 2 days in advance.
After having the Wild Boar Ragu at HENRY'S END last week, I am excited about trying to make it at home.
We had a wonderful pasta, fresh pappardelle with Wild Boar Ragu in Assisi. It was so divine I had it every day for lunch during our 6 day stay.
