state of seattle food

Bravo to Min Liao for writing the current column in The Stranger (http://www.thestranger.com/current/ch... - note that the link might change in one week). It's interesting to read all the comments on this board, but personally I find downtown/Belltown restaurants to generally be overpriced and pretentious. We're so lucky in Seattle to have many great restaurants in the non-downtown neighborhoods, and it's a shame that tourists/travelers to Seattle rarely get to experience them.

I'll be curious to know others' reactions to the column. As for me, I'll take the homestyle, high-value Malay Satay Hut over Wild Ginger any day!
