When I was studying in England in college, my dorm-mates turned me on to the tradition of eating pancakes on Shrove Tuesday. They were all making what I think of as crepes, although the site below links to pictures that look like flapjacks. Anyway, it's a fun meal in our house. My toddler will be thrilled with it- pancakes are his favorite meal!
Usually when I make crepes I make a savory filling (chicken and broccoli in a cheese sauce), and then have some sweet options (butter and jam, sugar with oranges or lemons squeezed over.) I'm not sure if I'm doing crepes orf lapjacks this year. Does anyone have any other crepe filling suggestions, if I go that route?
