Starin Marlin in Brewster

My friends have all been to SM but I had yet to go until late yesterday. SM is located in the former Longfellow's Pub on 6A near Underpass. The setting is casual, the food was pretty darn good. I had tuna fish tacos (the owner allowed me to substitute the scrod which I do not like) seared to perfection. Out of 4 sides including fresh broccoli, I chose hand cut fries as a side..wow ..I could not finish my tacos..huge portion..my date chose a special, homemade meatloaf with gravy and mashed potatoes. The wine list was pretty unfamiliar to aside from the Joseph Carr Cab. I had water with lemon. I didn't pay the tab but believe the bill was under 42.00. The waitstaff were great. Give it a try...By the way, the owner was very kind and very accommodating. The bar is pretty cool with a few tv's for viewing sports games. I might be inclined to head their some Sunday afternoon to catch a game. We were in and out in an hour so if you want a quick bite, it would fit the bill. The place was very quiet on a Monday night.
