Stainless steel fusti for water?

faycat | May 30, 2017 11:55 AM

My husband was recently admiring a stainless steel Dinuba fusti used to dispense water at a cafe near us, and saying that he wants to switch from using our plastic filter pitcher (Soma) for water storage to using a steel container. I'm thinking about getting him one like it for father's day, but I don't know very much about them. Looks like Dinuba is completely out of stock and in production on a new model with no indication of when they might be available, so I found the Italian company Sansone, with fustis that look almost identical to Dinubas. Does anyone use something like this for counter water storage? I'm unsure what size is ideal, and how long it is safe to drink from before we would have to fully clean or empty and replace. Our water drinking household is comprised of 2 adults, a 4yo, and 2 cats. We don't have a huge kitchen or a ton of counter space, does 5L make sense? Or is that so small that we'd be refilling it constantly? It comes is 2L, 3L, 5L, 10L, 15L and even larger, though those are clearly too big for us.
