Stacks Deli at 11th & Penna. Ave

Good riddance to Planet Hollywood - my heart bleeds for the millionaire Hollywood celebs who invested in it, grabbed their bucks & ran before it went bankrupt.

Today I went to Stacks with a lunch promotion (good only today & yesterday) handed out at the Metro station: sandwich for $1, carry-out only. Altho by the time I went, at 2, to avoid a really long line, all they had left was corned beef & tuna salad. Happy to say my tuna salad (no toppings, on "marbled" bread) was not mushy, but filled with yummy "chunks."

Just so you know, sandwich prices are a hefty $6-10, add on a couple dollars more for "stacked" sandwiches, bringing them into the low teens! That even beats the high prices at Cosi/Xandos, tho the sandwiches look a bit thicker (Cosi uses gourmet meats). Again, prices are for sandwiches only - no chips or soda included.

There's table service or carry-out - no self-serve.
