St. Martin Feedback on Suggestions

Mark Weinstein | Feb 4, 2002 11:53 AM

I hope I'm not breaking protocal, but the purpose of this message is to respond to those who provided input a month ago about restaurants on the French side, rather than to ask a question.

One hound suggested St. Grmain for waffles. It was easy enough to find the place, but much harder to bring myself to order them. I'm not much of a breakfast person, and considering how much I ate at dinner, it was hard to justify. Another suggested the Mini-Club for the all-you-can-eat buffet. I found it, and while it looked like a real neat place, my wife, who doesn't eat red meat, didn't think there would be enough things that were that well prepared to justify one of our seven nights on. I tried to convince her to just have the lobster, but she prefers the Maine lobster to the caribbean spiny lobster in taste and texture, so that was that. FYI, the kind of place we were looking for that we found (excellent preparations of French and caribbean dishes) were Mario's Bistro, which was great and Hevea and La California, which were very good. Rainbow was overated. Thanks again... Mark
