St. Louis - Family-friendly eats by City Museum

Congratulations, all your St. Louis people! Amazing game last night. However, this poses a small problem for me (not that it matters! Cards rule!). But I had a trip planned with my two kids to visit St. Louis for the first time this weekend (we're from NYC, recently transplanted to KC) and go to City Museum.

But now there's the unforeseen, rain-pushed Game 7 tonight (the most important thing, of course), and if all goes well, the streets will be full of jubilant throngs. And then there's a football game Sunday, I'm told.

So should I just give up and cancel my trip? I don't want to. It's to celebrate my birthday. But will it be too crazy downtown? And if we do go, I'd very much appreciate recommendations for casual, family-friendly restaurants in the City Museum, Union Station and CityGarden vicinities. As well as tips to avoid any Cardinal-celebrating craziness. Thanks so much. And congrats again!
