Ok, I'm still on AOL. Saw a feature on the 15 Best Burgers and O'Connell's Pub in St. Louis was mentioned. Column said very juicy 9-oz. burgers. The reviews (on City Search?) were very divided, ranging from five-star raves to zero-star complaints about horrible service and even cockroaches. What do the 'Hounds think?
Should I stick with my longtime reliable favorite, Fatted Calf? Had one last visit in Clayton (is that the only location left?) and liked my CheddarBurger, char-grilled as ordered, with that soft cheddar spread on top. The manager responded to my lame joke that they were originally opened in partnership with Vince Bommarito, which he confirmed during a very different dinner at Tony's the next night.
Thus my last query -- What about the burgers at the downscale place owned by and near Tony's? Is it called Tony's Bar? Is it in the same bank building? Can you use the same valet? Is it open evenings or only lunches and before baseball games? Most important, how's the chow there?
