Sophie our lab insisted I take her Dad to Wholly Mackeral for Father's Day brunch and everyone was happy. They serve a plated brunch and we enjoyed the food and service. For starters there was the complimentary pastry plate consisting of a mini croissant, danish, large muffin and ramekin of strawberry preserves and butter pats. The smoked salmon bagel had just the right chew included capers, diced egg,onion and cream cheese. There was the butter lettuce salad with strawberries, nectarines and mascovato vinaigrette served in a parmesan bowl. Entrees consisted of eggs benedict not on the typical muffin but on top of two beautiful crabcakes with a very rich hollandaise abd bacon, egg and cheese in a light crepe. Both included two side dishes so we tried the fresh fruit, potatoes and turkey sausage. Good prices IMO with the crab benedict was 11 and the crepe 9. Excellant coffee too.
