(For those tired of "taco talk" on the board, consider this your warning!)
Came across the SSahm BBQ (http://www.ssahmbbq.com/) truck in the parking lot of Walgreens on the corner of Belt Line and Montfort and gave it a try for lunch today.
They serve "gourmet Korean tacos" (ala Kogi in Los Angeles), along with Korean-inspired quesadillas, burritos, kimchee fries and instant noodles.
Admittedly, my experience with Korean food is limited, but I thought it was really, really good. I ordered the kalbi (beef) and daeji (pork) tacos. Served on two corn tortillas, with sesame soy vinaigrette salad, caramelized kimchee, cilantro, onion and a red salsa, they were fresh and flavorful. A little spicy, but that's a plus in my book. They had a pretty decent crowd there, too.
They do the whole Twitter/Facebook bit to let you know where they are going to be, but it looks like they set up at the Belt Line/Montfort location at least a couple times a week, in the Arts District and the Design District. From the schedule on their website, it looks like the do lunch, dinner and late nights.
Has anyone else tried them? How do they compare to other Korean tacos you've had?
