So what do you guys think of company's such as Texas Pete and Tabasco making their own version of Sriracha??? Personally, I'm appalled! I haven't tried either, but I look at both in the store and instantly think "Fakers!" I'm a fan of spicy, so naturally when I discovered a few years ago how awesome Huy Fong Sriracha is on everything (I've always put hot sauce on everything, so why not do the same with Sriracha?) I became hooked!
Not that I'm against other companies capitalizing on a trend...if you gotta make your dollar make it... sriracha it's self of course is just a compilation of chili's and other spices which is essentially a recipe. Recipes are mimicked all the time and resold, Cronuts are a great example. I just feel like these other companies are stepping into a territory that they could have just left alone.
