Squash Blossoms

Can anyone recommend places serving simply prepared squash blooms. I like mine dipped in egg batter and fried in olive oil or quickly deep-fried like a fritto misto or tempura. (I intended to replicate my Italian mother's recipe this summer, but my bulldog trashed my flowers; the farmers markets always say they sold out w/in an hour of opening.) I know the flowers show up in Mexican stews and some fancy places will stuff them with foie gras and such, but I respectfully disagree with such heavy-handed treatment for such an ephemeral food.
