I swear, vegetables come to my house to die. I hate grocery shopping so I buy lots of food at a time, but inevitably I end up not cooking often because social plans pop up, and the produce gets tossed out.
Potatoes. I keep them in a dark, cool place so they don't go all green and bitter, but they do eventually end up growing sprouts. They look menacing so I throw them out, but I was wondering if I could just cut the weird things out and proceed. These potatoes feel a bit soft, but couldn't I just use them in a vegetable soup or something?
Thank you for your advice.
