I just noticed this restaurant in the summer when Fontaine's was closing. It's on Spring right by the VFW Parkway. Unassuming little place seating about 36 w/ a small bar. Probably run by a family since the hostess and waitress looked a lot alike. Basic Italian menu in the $11-15 entree range, 3 specials were slightly higher and the only non-typical Italian dishes. Bread and olive oil were basic and while the mozzarella in the caprese salad was tasty, we should have ignored her rec. cuz I specifically asked how the tomatoes were and they were what you typically get in Nov. Which I should have assumed. Entrees came quickly and there was a scramble to find room for everything. I got carbonara and my friend got linguine w/ white clam sauce. The linguine had a real different look to it, not typical white pasta but more golden colored. Mine was really good for $11.95, a little creamy but not too much which bums me out with some carbonara dishes, good amount of pancetta. Just tasted one clam from the other dish. Skipped tiramisu or cheesecake for desert. Nothing earth shattering but dependable if you're looking for a good chicken parm. or something along those lines.
