The Spotted Pig (trying to post this for a 2nd time)

Something's wrong with my original post, below, and when you click on it, it takes you to a totally different thread. Strange.

I had brunch at Spotted Pig on Sunday & it was a HUGE disappointment. It was a surprise b'day party for my brother & there were 10 of us. We arrived a little early & were told that the table (in the empty restaurant) wasn't set yet, so we couldn't sit down.

The 10 of us ordered at the same time - nothing fancy - and the birthday boy was the LAST one served. He ordered the chicken liver parfait, which didn't even need to be prepared. Just scoop the parfait onto the plate & serve with bread. All 9 of us got our food & nothing came out for my bro. It took 15 minutes for someone to figure out that he STILL hadn't gotten his food & then they sent him frozen bread. He sent the plate back & it was another 15 minutes before he got an edible meal. The rest of us were done, by then.

It took over 45 minutes for one person to get a cup of coffee, supposedly because they "ran out of cups." Then my mom's coffee arrived lukewarm & it was another half-hour before she got a hot cup.

In all, it wasn't a very good experience. For the money ($14 for pancakes?!), you could get a much better meal, anywhere else. Sorry, but I think the Batali boat is starting to sink.
