Spoto's..West Palm Beach

Went to Spoto's (125 Datura St. 561 835-1828)for lunch last Tuesday. It was one of our pr-planned stops on our Florida trip. We arrived at 2:00 and they were still quite busy(good sign). I started with a Hot Mix(baked Brie oyster, oyster Rockefeller, crab stuffed oyster and clam casino). All we pretty good …the clam casino being best. Next.... I had the New England clam chowder… just had to try the Florida version. It was a bit disappointing as the clams and potatoes were too small. For my entrée... it was the panseared oyster po boy "Nawlins Style". The oysters had a nice crunchy corn meal coating and it was dressed with a garlic mayo. It would have rated a few points higher had they used a better piece of bread. All in all… it was a good lunch. I would recommend a stop if you're in the area.
