Spotlight on food at Sonoma Cinco de Mayo

Jackie Avery | May 4, 2002 11:43 PM

I just read a great article in the Sonoma Index Tribune anticipating the food to be had at Sunday's Cinco de Mayo celebrations. There will be a focus on traditional Mexican food to raise awareness of dishes beyond burritos. The article gets your mouth watering describing the offerings of various food booths: ceviche, tamales, sopes, carnitas, with brief bios of the home cooks and chefs who will be preparing them.

Oh yea, there will be music, poetry, folklorico dancing and awards presentations too. 11am-5pm Sonoma Plaza, Sonoma CA.
