Spokane Restaurants

I have eaten at a lot of restaurants in Spokane and here are some of my favorites:

Hills Someplace Else: 1 star atmosphere with 5 star food. I couldn't believe the menu when I opened it has an amazing selection. I especialy love the scotch eggs that are served with this spicy sweet gooey mustard sauce. All of my friends have enjoyed this restaurant and again the selection is phenominal. I always get the Steak&Blue..the prices for the meals you get can't be beat.

Arcelias(the orginal in the Schade Towers): I really love this place! The mexcian food is some of the best I have ever had and it is authentic! Everything is good including the Margaritas but I always get the enchiladas. They melt in your mouth and they use this creamy green pepper sauce rather then tomato based. You can get these mild, medium or hot. I can eat really hot food but the medium sauce is all I can take there. The only downside is they have odd hours...and call ahead because if they are having a slow night they will close the doors before closing. Also I can't say it is the best service but it's worth it because of the food.

Cafe 5'10: I have not been to it's new location but at it's old location it was truly one of the best and the service is outstanding! If you are not satisfied with something they made good on it with no question asked. We were also given a free appetizer once because they didn't have the one we requested. It is a gourmet place but not so overly done that the average Joe couldn't find something they liked. At it's old location I found it reasonably priced. Not sure where the prices are now.

Skyway Cafe(Felts Field): I enjoy the heck out of this place because it is located at the old airfield and there are large windows so you can watch all the small planes coming in and out. It is a no frills place and the best time to go is for breakfast. The cinnamon rolls are killer and huge but if you don't get there before noon forget it, they're gone. The biscuits and gravy are also fantastic but again if you order a large one there is a lot.

Cavallino Lounge(Hotel Lusso): Okay this is not a restaurant but it is a great place to go for desert and they are really good. It is more upscale and a place to go if you have been to a play. The atmosphere is elegant without being overwhelming. The cocktails there are also incredible(I like the Flatliners)Perfect place to take and impress a date. It is pricey though so expect to shell out for deserts/drinks or coffee. You can also get dinner in there from the adjacent restaurant Fugazi but I really do not like their main appetizers.

That's it for now
