Splurging on a Wooden Spoon and Turner

mobiledynamics | Oct 19, 202012:59 PM     35

In the utensil crock, are three 12 inch standard olivewood spoons (all Berard ) and I have 1 -extra large- ones that are probably Beech. These are my dailys. A bunch more scattered in the - extras- .

I have some new new tin largish pots coming in, and I just wanted to have a -soft tin safe- turner and another extra large spoon as a treat.

What are my options for a thin wooden turner (that's actually thin). I know thin and wood are complete opposites in long term usefulness. Some of my woodedspoons are (rounded more) on the edges just from use. I already have a silicon thin turner but just never a fan of the silicones. I even have a silicon tong for the non sticker, and I hate using them unless I have to.

I don't want a paddle sized new spoon, but I do also want a nice XL spoon as just something nice to have. Long, decent spoon size to match the pot volume, but not overly bulky in the shaf/spoon handle where it will feel like I'm holding up a rowing oar. ----that's exactly what my beech ones feel like at times. Recommendations/links. I think I might need to check out Etsy but that is going to be looking at like 100 links before I can filter it all out.

I did buy a Berard ladle when I got my CU stockpot. I dunno, but the Ladle did not seem like a quality item relative to it's pricepoint... I'll have to check my Ladle but I think my beef with it, was that there are 2 or 3 spots where I believe -filler- has been put. I know it's common to see this on a wood handle but I don't want filler inside a vessel where I might be consuming, even if it's NSF rated filler :-/
