Looking for a spiral slicer in NYC

Penelope | Aug 5, 2001 06:01 PM

I'm looking for a slicer that will produce a strand-like vegetable cut similar to that of the carrot garnish served with sushi, or similar to the narrow julienne cut used in Chinese stir-fry. I've seen a hokey-looking one advertised recently on tv. It seems to leave a good part of the vegetable unsliced as it reaches the center... wasteful. Does anyone know where I might find a good quality product? I live in Brooklyn, so a N.Y.C. source would be helpful. Thanks!
