Ali and his brother Mustafa launched a special menu last night at Mombar, and I went to have a tasting. I ate: clams casino, clams oreganata, oysters rockefeller, lobster newburgh, and coquilles st. jacques. All was good. They're doing lots of other dishes in this category - a 70's menu, if you will: sole almondine, beef wellington, beef bourgignon, chicken kiev, coq au vin, etc. They'll be doing this menu for a couple of weeks only, so hurry in! They'll also be doing a "Pharoahonic" menu soon - ancient Egyptian recipes.
