speaking of weeknight meal deals...

the previous post inspired me to go to rx (never had any problems there, it's just with so many "new' byob's opening sometimes you forget the tried and true)

hubby and i went for the $25 price fixe (tuesday-thursday, a few select items up the price to $30). I had shrimp mofango (really really good), corvina with mussels (sort of like a sea bass) and flourless chocolate cake. Hubby had the beet salad, poached black cod and coconut maccaroons with some sort of custard.

Everything was fabulous and plentiful. Service was extremely friendly (they are trying out ceviche and the even brought me a little free sample, as well as let me pick their brains about other restaurants open in the area on mondays).

As an added bonus there are many "passover acceptable" items on the menu (as long as you don't keep kosher and are just observing passover), which was great for my husband. Both desserts fit the bill as did my hubbys app and entree. In addition they had chopped chicken livers, matzoh ball soup, brisket, etc.. as well as non passover food for the rest of us. They also brought my hubby out some matzoh when they brought me out bread :)

We had a very nice dinner, and for what we got (variety, quality and quantity) i thought 25 a head was a steal.
