A year or two ago a bunch of the chowhound regulars were talking about piling into a vehicle and heading down to Kentucky to buy country hams directly from an old-timer who, thanks to the fact that he still made his hams in the old way, was not allowed to ship across state lines.
Or something like that.
Did this trip happen, and if so, how was the ham?
I searched, but couldn't find the posts, and don't remember what board they were on.
