We were at Speakeasy this past Friday night, the new spot owned by the woman who started Tomboy and The Room (she has sold Tomboy). It was pretty crowded, the food was similar to The Room, the service is still being worked on. It is BYOB.

They gave us a small "amuse" - beets and cheese bruschetta. I had a grilled asparagus salad - very good but the salad was DRENCHED in dressing. My main course was halibut in a standout citrus sauce. I can't even remember what veggies were with it, because the halibut itself was so good. It did take a long time to get our food, though.

They apparently had too many servers, so we got two amuses accidentally (both from the same server) and at one point we were told our server was leaving and were introduced to another server, but later they told us our original server was staying. Kind of confusing.

At some point they will have live music.
