The bold lettering and the bold claim about world famous burgers were impressive, and the various figurines including Sparky The Robot (and even Ronald McDonald) were quite eye-catching, but I didn't know what to make of a place that offered burgers, barbecue and espresso, seemingly unrelated areas of expertise. The espresso and barbecue will have to wait for another trip, but I was hooked by the hype regarding the green chile cheeseburger, and was not disappointed. The charred, juicy burger was a triumph of taste and texture.
Perhaps a greater surprise was the side of beans that merited main-course stature thanks to a great peppery kick. The green chiles were again put to good use in a grilled cheese sandwich that was unfairly relegated to the kids menu.
We enjoyed the big fries. As for the green chile creamed corn, well, I found it too much like creamed corn although my girlfriend enjoyed it more. But the real showstopper arrived in beverage form - the guajillo chile mango lemonade was powerful - no, it didn't take quite like chile peppers but it was on the zingy side.
In conclusion, the pop art may draw you in once but the food will attract you the second time.
