Spanish shrimp with garlic sauce? Sevilla Restaurant?

Dave M.P. | May 26, 2005 05:39 PM

Hello there,

I'll be visiting NYC (from Boston) this weekend with my family. My parents always used to go to Rincon de Espana (in the Village) until they closed a few years ago. My mom is eager to find a new favorite Spanish restuarant in the city where she can order shrimp with garlic sauce. She found out about Sevilla Restaurant (Charles St. @ W. 4th) which got mixed but overall decent reviews on chowhound back in 2002 and 1999 (I didn't find any more recent posts). We will probably go there unless anyone has a suggestion for a better place....other great dishes are a plus too, since not everyone will order shrimp with garlic sauce. However, we are probably more interested in main dishes than tapas. We would be willing to go anywhere in Manhattan and probably even to outer boroughs if it's worthwhile....thanks a lot, i'll be sure to write about wherever we go...
