Spanish and Italian in Frederick

Just wanted to pass along agood word about two restaurants in Frederick. One is called Isabella's. It is owned by the same family(I believe Bowers) that operates Brewer's Alley. The specialty is Spanish tapas. For those who are not familiar with this, it is small portions which are meant for sampling and sharing. The larger the party the wider the assortment of dishes. We've had artichokes, goat cheese fritters, seafood paella, shrimp in hot chilli sauce, meatballs, butternut squash soup, and crab chowder. All were excellent. Our other favorite is about 2 years old. It was voted Frederick's Best New Restaurant last year by Frederick Magazine. It's called Venuti's. The food is Italian. Their specialty is their garlic rolls. Thinl of a cinnamon roll but, instead of sweet, it is rolled with garlic and pesto and covered in cheese and supported by sauce. Their specials are worth it! Everything else is very good. Just go and enjoy!
