A thread on the SF board about yucatecan pork stew reminded me of a long fruitless recipe search for a dish I had in Spain.
Way way many years ago I was in a restaurant, said to be the oldest in Madrid, just off a historic plaza. I ordered the cheapest thing on the menu (that was the kind of travel budget I was on) and it was wonderful. It was a garbanzo stew with lamb and a little sausage. There were veggie things in it too, a bit of a tomato presence, and a garlic note.
Does anyone have a name and/or recipe for this?
