Along with French, Italian, Japanese, etc, Spanish food is one of the great cuisines of the world. It's got its own unique flavors, from saffron to octopus, sherry to squid ink. I adore it--just not in LA (and I'm no basher--I love the food here, just not the Spanish). Has anyone found a good Spanish restaurant in the LA County or even in the OC? I've been to La Paella, probably the best on a curve, but barely passable. Bar Celona in Pasadena is horrible. We ate there last week and the paella was inedibly salty, the tortilla a hot, flavorless omlette (gasp!)The squid ink dish at AOC is popular, but AOC is not Spanish.
