While shopping for soy sauce at a small Japanese market I found a bottle that had very little English writing on it that intrigued me. It was lower in sodium than most yet looked dark and potentially flavorful. Best of all it was on sale so it was cheaper than the usual commercial brands like Kikkoman. Looking at the receipt I see it's called Marukin Shiboritate Nama Shoyu. Is this just regular everyday soy sauce or some kind of flavored or thinned out sauce? Does this brand make a superior product? The staff were of no help.
Thanks in advance.
