With two lactose intolarant pups, we go through a lot of soy milk. I was buying the tetra packs but that was getting pricy. Now I buy the fresh stuff from Asian groceries and the pups like it well enough but I still have concerns about calcium. While perusing our favorite Chinese department store, I saw a soy milk maker for the price of about 25 liters of soy milk. HMMMMMM, I thought, a potential money saving device and an educational toy for the pups!
I've looked on the internet, I've found recipes and I'm pretty sure it would save money but how easy is the dang thing to use? Is it going to turn out to be one of those annoying devices that eat up time and space and eventually go to live in the garage? Does the milk taste the same as what I buy in the store?
Any 'hounds familiar with such a device? Any thoughts or recommendations? I know of no one who makes their own soy milk [bread yes, but not that].
