Souvla (Hayes Valley, SF)

Malcolm Ruthven | Jun 15, 201807:56 AM

I had lunch at Souvla yesterday, my first time there. For me, it lived up to its hype of a fun, casual place with good Greek gyros etc. I had the Pork Sandwich ($12, in pita bread), accurately described on the menu as Snake River Farms Pork Shoulder, Minted Greek Yogurt, Cherry Tomatoes, Pickled Red Onion, Cucumber, Feta Cheese. I thought it was fine, all the ingredients coming together very well, and also quite large. It's a small place with multiple types of seating, including outside, music playing, and noisy. I found it enjoyable. I went at 2pm on a weekday and there was a line (short) out the door the whole time I was there.
