Southwark--Follow Up

Hi all,
Just a note, as there weren't too many folks who had even heard of it, that my friends and I went to Southwark (4th & Bainbridge) on Friday night. It was AMAZING. There were five of us, and in spite of reports that our food might take a long time, this was NOT the case. Our service was excellent and friendly as well as knowledgable. All of the online reviews (AOL cityguide, etc)were right on the money with the assessment of the bartender (great drinks! and i'm a negroni drinker--very hard to find a bartender who makes a good one or even knows what it is). The menu is reasonably priced and the specials were many and delicious. I had a trout with purple sticky rice and papaya and mango, my friend had a skate dish with cilantro and capers, the list just goes on. Dessert was good but not as great as expected--the pot de creme was cold and I have only had it hot at other places. The ambience was perfect as well and they even had a very lovely-looking outdoor dining area that does NOT face the street so its still quiet (we ate inside).
Anyway, just thought I'd pass this on to other foodies! Make your reservation!
