Southern Spice is the first in our neighborhood to advertise an extensive selection of Andhra dishes. (Marigold also has a few as the owner hails from Hyderabad.) My initial visit was quite promising. The rasam was excellent and the goat fry (meka mamsam vepudu) quite tasty. I don't think I've had this dish before.

Southern Spice is in the old Swagat location at 2700 W. El Camino Real, just a few blocks west of San Antonio and adjacent to the Holiday Inn Express. It's a big upgrade from Swagat! I'll certainly be back to explore more of this interesting menu. Has anyone else been there yet?
