I've been living in Saratoga, working in Los gatos, since August and have been fairly disapointed in the local grub scene, i ate better during my last two years in hell, i mean Fresno! any suggestions would be much appreciated.

here are a couple I can reccomend-

I found a good Indian buffet-Dhobra(sp?) on El Camino not far from Wolf cross street. All you can eat for 6.50 (bell pepper paneer was awesome). The name translates to truck stop? so the food is far from "fancy" but i think its a hell of a deal.

I have also enjoyed Amato's on Saratoga Ave, the best philly cheese steak I've had outside the city of brotherly love.

I just had a great, my only, cambodian meal at Chez Sovan in Campbell on Bascom. Killer Amok, a fish cake like dish steamed in a bannana leaf- killer kabobs also.

I have also had mild success at the Ranch 99 complex in cupertino, joy luck for dim sum and super bowl for pho.

PS i work in the wine industry so any place that has a interesting vino selection, or friendly byo would be much appreciated
Thanks to all, I just found this page and love the info
