NEXT (on South St) BRUNCH

I really enjoyed Thraz's report on Dinner. I noticed this week that they posted a brunch menu. I was surprised to see how "upscale" it was. The least expensive egg dish was $8.00 and an Omlette at $10.00 but entrees in the $14.00 range. Add to that $5.00 glasses of jiuce. A "Bagel and Cream Cheese" for $5.00 and it looked like coffe only came in French Press for $6.00.

The food may be good but I think they may have a problem filling all their seats on Sunday afternoons at that price!

Speaking of brunches, I sure wish Philly would get the kind of Brunch Places that NYC has. You can get Omlettes or French Toast with meat, coffee AND a Mimosa or Bloody Mary at MANY places for less than $10.00.! Nola used to have a $9.95 brunch like that but that was years ago.

Anyway, I'm hoping someone will report on brunch at Next if they go.

Steve
