Anyone tried this new place?
It looks like it is Italian by way of Brazil. The photo gallery on the site is kind of sweet. It looks like it might be a nice little place if you are in the Grand Avenue area.
I'm guessing the chicken pot pie that comes with rice and beans is the Brazilian version.
A few interesting things on the menu ...
- Tri-Tip Alla Birra - Thinly Sliced Tri-Tip Served With a Dark Beer Sauce
- Romano panini - Smoked Ham, Provolone Cheese, Fig Jam, Sliced Tomatoes & Basil
- Feijoada Completa – (Satudays Only)
- Passion Fruit Mousse
- Dulce de Leche Cheesecake
They also have ...
PETISCOS VARIADOS - Pastries
Pão de Queijo (Cheese Puffs)
Salgados Variados (Assorted Pastries)
Mixto Quente / Baurú (Breakfast Sandwiches)
The English on the website is almost perfect ... almost ... there's a lot of Italian on the menu. I'm getting the feeling these are first generation Brazilians. Kind of made me giggle that they are calling themselves "Italian-Brazlian fusion cuisine" and say they are serving "a once in a lifetime culinary experience" ... them and almost every Brazlian joint in the Bay Area. It does look nice though.
They have a coupon on Citysearch for a free dessert with a $15 purchase. They also mention Brazilian drinks on Citysearch but they don't list them on their website (on the Place record).
It also looks like they deliver locally.
