South Bay Breakfast/Lunch Cafe

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to write a review of a breakfast/lunch cafe I went to called Wildflower cafe in South Redondo Beach. It is located on 600 S Pacific Coast Hwy (the bright orange building at Sapphire ave. across from the walgreens).

This place has a very nice interior. Hip in the sense that they put some thought into the space but yet relaxed in a beachy kind of way. The patio is also nice on a warm day although the view isnt fantastic (but certainly not bad either). They have omelets, scrambles, soups, salads, breads, bagels, coffee and coffee shop food (scones, croissants). I had a VERY good lox scramble, and my fiance had the mixed fruit and granola. They were both very well prepared. I find that many of the diners in the area are a bit greasy and dont have the fresh fare feel to them. I dont mind greasy no frills diner food, but my fiance always eats non-greasy foods like fruits, granolas, bagels, salads, etc. for breakfast and I find breakfast diners dont do these things as well.

This place reminds me sorta of North End Caffe in Manhattan Beach and Marthas 22nd st grill in Hermosa Beach. Both places are fresh fare, lunch/cafe/breakfast spots and not necessarily just breakfast diners "trying" to serve light fare and lunch.

If you live in South Redondo Beach like me, and dont want to drive to hermosa and manhattan EVERY time (although most times the 15 minute drive isquite pleasant), then try this place out.
