Restaurants & Bars

I had an excellent bone-in prime rib there last night, cooked perfectly medium rare. The thing was straight out of the flintstones it was so big; plenty left over. So juicy and meaty. The horseradish cream is always a nice touch.

Served with seasonal vegetables or something like that, which included fiddleheads, cabbage?, and something that looked and tasted like white carrots? I don't know, vegetables aren't really my thing. I liked the fiddleheads though.

The crab cake appetizer was nothing special but my friend liked her fried oysters special. She also enjoyed her brisket but it looked almost boiled and plain?

bread rolls were lame and were probably warmed in the microwave - you know how microwaved bread gets tough pretty quickly? Yeah like that.

Service was good. It was terribly slow at 9:30 on a Thursday. Like 3 tables and a smattering of folks at the bar.

So a pretty good meal for about $60 pre-tip. Much better than my last (and only other) visit.
