I have a question about stocking my very elderly parent"s freezer with large quantities of precooked sous vide beef, chicken, pork etc. Mom's always been a great cook but is now often too tired to do anything at all in the kitchen. I don't want them to eat frozen dinners from the grocery stores. Could they just defrost one of my packets for what they need for a dinner and then heat it in a pot of hot water for a little while before searing so the food is hot inside? How long can these frozen packages be kept in the freezer? Any great suggestions out there are very welcome! Thanks.
