Sour cream fruit pies

Trying to take advantage of seasonal fruit, yet avoid the double-crust pie, I made a great Rhubarb Sour Cream pie last month. Now I have sour cherries and hope to do the same, and probably again with peaches soon enough (and apples come Fall!). Some recipes seem to have just fruit, sour cream and sugar while others incorporate flour and an egg. Based on my rhubarb success I will probably use this similar recipe for the cherries (linked below). I basically want fool-proof (one reason I am avoiding the traditional double-crust pie: watery filling problems).

Having had success with the flour/egg version I will probably look for those recipes, but I am wondering if anyone has any favourite recipes for sour cream fruit pies or has attempted the versions without flour.
